Hey book-lover, how are you? Recently my friend Franka aka F. J Haddley released her debut novel The Witch That Won’t Burn and I think as a true friend, it is my duty to introduce her book to you. I told her about it and she allowed me to post a Release Update. So this Release Update is about Franka and her book The Witch That Won’t Burn.

F. J Haddley is a fiction writer and a passionate language learner. She is a fierce pursuer of all things human and a strong believer in the power of good textbooks and late nights. A proud LGBTQ+ ally. The Witch That Won’t Burn is her debut novel. She is also a podcaster and a blogger, exploring life beyond fiction.

About the book The Witch That Won’t Burn:

The Witch That Won’t Burn is an LGBTQ+ fantasy romance with a good bit of mystery and heartbreak. The plot revolves around two different natures, one of a witch, and the other of a demon. The supposed enemies. But one night, during the yearly Gathering of the witches, Kaia's empath powers are being used against her and she gets marked. It's then the demon, Jaya, reaches her a hand of help but only to ask for a favor in exchange later. It starts with a distrust—demons can't be trusted, that's what Kaia knows. But turns out Jaya isn't what Kaia thought she was and neither is Kaia the witch Jaya carries the hate for in her very veins. On the brink of the destroyed world of magic, among the corrupt power of the witches and the demon's thirst for revenge, Kaia and Jaya will learn the truth—that history is stronger than them all and that even being on each other's sides will eventually separate them. That when for one love is strength, for the other it can be weakness.

The Witch That Won’t Burn is the first book in the duology that rather opens a door into the world where there're so many questions and so little answers.
